Following a rigorous due diligence of the company’s credentials, utilities contractor, Falco Construction, has been appointed as an approved tier-1 contractor to nationwide energy distributor, UK Power Networks (UKPN).

This allows the South-East based contractor to carry-out works as part of the term contract directly for UKPN. The contract, which covers faults, small services and unmetered connections (UMC) works in the London area, is for 3 years with a possible 2 year extension.

Falco has worked on UKPN infrastructure for 8 years as a sub-contractor to, among others, Laing O’Rourke and Skanska. The company, which was founded in 2004 by Managing Director, Brendan Griffin, specialises in the facilitation of planned and responsive maintenance and development of underground utility infrastructure.

“This is a major development for Falco,” said Brendan, “It is an acknowledgment and reward for our excellent track record in this sector as well as the investment in developing our resources and management systems.”
