South-East based utility and civil engineering contractor, Falco Construction has been awarded certification against the utilities sector standard UVDB Verify.
This followed an assessment of its integrated management systems by Achilles in Jan 2013. Registration with the utilities standard was a requirement for working with UKPN. Falco became a tier-1 contractor to UKPN in October 2013.
“For many clients in our sector, registration with Achilles’ Utilities Vendor Database is a pre-condition to supply,” said Brendan Griffin, Managing Director of Falco, “It gives prospective customers assurance that we have the systems in place to systemically mitigate and manage the risks associated with working on utility infrastructure.”
