Utilities contractor, Falco, has published its third annual Sustainability Report. The 24-page document outlines the company’s key activities and achievements in the last 12 months which includes an eye-catching reduction of carbon emissions by a third. Other highlights from 2022 include:

  • Accident Frequency Rate of Zero
  • Recruitment of 15 in-house volunteer “Well Being” Champions
  • 11% reduction in NOx emissions
  • Nearly 8000 hours of training delivered
  • Wastes recycling rate of 82%
  • 5 million hours since last RIDDOR

The Report covers all of the company’s sustainability disciplines from carbon reduction to staff development, health & safety, stakeholder engagement, waste management, pollution control, biodiversity and materials consumption.

Managing Director, Brendan Griffin commented:

“The year was notable for the implementation of a number of initiatives which have focused on reducing our carbon performance largely through efficiencies in our logistics operation,” he said, “We have also invested heavily to develop greater appreciation of environmental issues within our management team and engaging more constructively with our stakeholders, specially the local communities in which we serve.”
