London-based utilities contractor, Falco Construction, has invested heavily to replace its suite of mini-excavators and trailers. The company has spent in excess of £1 million to upgrade its mobile groundworks plant – taking possession of eighteen new Takeuchi TB216 mini-diggers and over 50 DIGADOC® Ultra Indespension trailers.

Alan Seyfi, Support Services Director commented: “The new DIGADOC® Ultra trailer is a 16’ x 5’10 twin axel trailer ECWVTA type approved which incorporate the latest advances in safety for the transportation of our mini excavators in the loading and un loading process without the need for strap restraining and in keeping the machine balanced with the correct weight distribution with the provision of two adjustable track cowlings will enhance the performance of our mobile teams on-site while making getting them to/from site a much less cumbersome and time consuming process, Ultimately they should make our groundworks service more responsive and efficient.”

The new DIGADOC® Ultra Indespension trailers are packed with safety features & time saving innovations such as:

The 1.6 tonne Takeuchi TB216 is one of the most popular mini excavators worldwide. For its compact size it has surprising performance range with a maximum dig depth up to 2.4m, dump height of 2.7m alongside a maximum reach at ground level in excess of 4m. This new model has been fitted with added anti-theft security, enhanced visual display unit (VDU) as well as:

  • Top mounted hydraulic boom cylinder
  • internally routed hoses which avoid potential site damage
  • Variable adjustable tracks
  • Simple lever from single to dual flow at the front of the cab
  • Large adjustable arm rests help minimise operator fatigue
