
Background
Tommy has over 35 years of experience within the civil engineering, utilities, groundworks and reinforced concrete frames industries. He graduated in civil engineering from Athlone RTC, Ireland 1987 having been around construction sites in his early years as this father also owned a building contracting company.
After carrying out the role of Operations Manager with John Reilly Civil Engineering the credit crunch hit the house building / groundworks industry hard in 2008. As a result, Tommy moved into the Utilities industry where he first worked for Falco Construction in 2009 on a Thames Water project in Beckton STW.
Following its completion, he took over as Projects Manager for Falco’s on the newly won EDF-Laing O’Rourke London Power Networks and later Southern Power Networks contracts.
He also managed prestigious projects with Falco for The Houses of Parliament and British Petroleum to name a few. He was key in delivering Thames Water’s Counters Creek Flips scheme and consequently is well established in the utilities industry. Tommy became Operations Director for Falco in Jan 2024.
Responsibilities
As Operations Director, Tommy oversees the delivery of Falco’s contracts ensuring that the Clients expectations are met and exceeded if possible. He is also responsible for appointing designers for design and build contracts. He oversees the Powercare contracts as well as a Projects arm of Falco and has two Contracts Managers ( Power & Project’s) reporting to him.
He relishes delivering difficult projects where he can utilise his comprehensive experience in several sectors of the industry.
His mission is to maintain Falco’s high standards of Health & Safety, Frameworks and Project’s delivery and provide our clients with as seamless experience as possible whilst also striving to grow the company.
