Falco are very proud to have supported a record-breaking fund-raising event for DEBRA, the charity and patient support organisation for people living with epidermolysis bullosa (EB). We were a gold sponsor for the 20th Anniversary Fight Night function which raised over £340,000.

Guests at the event held at the Hilton Hotel Park Lane, included Falco’s very-own hospitality ambassador, the former WBC Light Heavyweight Champion, John Conteh.

Following a drinks reception guests were welcomed by multi-award-winning journalist, author and broadcaster Ian Stafford, who served as MC. Hugh Thompson, DEBRA UK Director of Fundraising, introduced a powerful video showing how funds raised will transform lives for those living with EB. Frank Warren then entered the ring to share why he continues to support DEBRA and encouraged guests to ‘dig deep’.

Grace Fincham, DEBRA Ambassador and member, shared her deeply moving story about living with EB and the loss of her brother Freddie, who passed away nearly five years ago. She spoke about Freddie’s support during her own health battles, when she spent time in ICU after her heart transplant, and how DEBRA have helped her through her challenges.

A live auction featured a range of prizes including Champions League hospitality package at Anfield, signed shirt by Graeme Souness CBE, 2 season tickets for Queensberry Promotions events, a Tyson Fury-signed glove, a 7-night ski chalet-stay in Klosters and a lunch for four with Frank Warren at The Landmark Hotel.

The night concluded with an action-packed card of professional boxing, presented by Frank Warren and Queensberry Promotions.

“We are delighted to have been invited to contribute to the success of such an unforgettable evening,” commented Falco’s Support Services Director, Alan Seyfi, “Thanks to the generosity of those present unprecedented funds were raised for a very deserving cause which will help support those living with the rare genetic skin condition.”

Falco is also celebrating its 20th Anniversary this year, having been established in 2005 by Managing Director, Brendan Griffin, who also attended the event.
